Common Questions About Pricing
How long is each tutoring session?
SAT & ACT test prep classes are 1 hour 15 minutes each. Other subjects typically run 1-2 hours depending on student needs.
Do you offer package discounts?
No, I do not offer package discounts. Rates are per session as listed above.
What is your cancellation policy? š©
Please notify me the day before if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made within 6 hours of the scheduled class are considered last-minute and the session will be billed, since each slot is reserved exclusively for you.
Do you offer online or in-person sessions?
Sessions are remote only. I have been tutoring remotely for seven years and have worked with more than 650 students, building my entire business around remote learning. While I love meeting with students in person, I would not be able to meet the demand I have if I worked with students in person.
How often should my student meet with you?
Most students benefit from 1-2 sessions per week. During test prep periods or before major exams, some students increase to 3 sessions per week.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept Venmo, Apple Pay, or Zelle. A deposit is due to hold your first class, and that deposit is credited toward the cost of that class. After that, I send a payment request to the family each week, unless the family prefers to pay for the whole month in advance.
