My Story
My name is Maima Levy, and I am a passionate educator with more than 11 years of experience. I have been a full-time academic coach for 6 years. I graduated cum laude before matriculating to Boston University for a Master's. I completed the pre-medical pathway at the University of California, San Diego. I am now an incoming medical student for the class of 2031.
From a student standpoint, I understand what it means to both struggle and succeed in academics. Growing up, I struggled immensely from primary through middle school until I realized that studying was a learned skill rather than innate talent. After personally developing a wide range of strategies to academically succeed, I went on to graduate first in my undergraduate class and gained admission to NYU and Boston University, among other top colleges, without any academic guidance.
During COVID-19, I took up tutoring to help kids in my community who were struggling to adapt to remote learning. Soon, families reached out to me for academic mentorship in addition to tutoring, and the rest has been history! Since then, I've worked with kids from challenging backgrounds, students with learning disabilities (IEPs), gifted students seeking someone to challenge them, and more.
